Mawson Lakes School

About the School Mawson Lakes School commenced operation at Mawson Lakes, which is an $850 million integrated development in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, at the start of the 2000 school year, the beginning of the new century. It is delivering public education in accordance with the policy and curriculum requirements of the Department of Education and Childrens Services. The nature of this education is characterised by the use of advanced information technology enabling closer links between the school, home and the community and a curriculum that has a special focus on environmental sustainability, aboriginal heritage, community involvement, global awareness and the development of enterprising and self-management skills. Welcome to the Myths, Folktales and Fairy Tales Internet project. We\'ve compiled contributions from many authors to create this rich resource for learning about and writing in these genres. During the project, we will have several authors live online to discuss their work in these genres and to answer questions from young writers working on creating their own.

The Biology Corner

The Biology Corner is a resource site for biology and science teachers. The Lesson Plans section contains classroom activities, labs and worksheets, feel free to change any of these to suit your own classroom needs. The Webquest section contains inquiry based projects that utilize the internet. Internet lessons (also called miniquests) are smaller activities that use one or two science related web sites for the students to explore and answer questions about. Again, feel free to modify these activities so that they work for your class and your style of teaching.
